CSPAN's Book TV Bus

CSPAN's Book TV Bus
The San Antonio Public Library hosted CSPAN's Book TV Bus today at the Central Library. It was also supposed to make an appearance at Guerra Library, but had to cancel due to technical problems (the production lab being on the fritz). I was too chicken to go inside, but Thien was nice enough to do a drive by on the way back from lunch so I could get a pic.

  1. The 45-foot long motor coach is a mobile television studio and media demonstration center. Visitors can tour its studio set, participate in interactive demonstrations about Book TV programming, learn how television shows are produced, and sign up for programming alerts.

The Book TV Bus launched in September 2005 and has visited libraries, bookstores, literary festivals and universities in over 150 cities to promote C-SPAN2's weekend-long programming of nonfiction books and authors, and to collect interesting literary programming from communities around the country. Interviews with Texas nonfiction authors are also scheduled during the tour stop.
